Happy One Month Birthday, Kaleigh!

Kaleigh is one month old!!  I can't believe how fast time flies!!  Dustin went back to work this week and my maternity leave will be half way over next week.  Alec's back to daycare in full swing everyday, which sure does give me a much needed break for a few hours during the day.

Kaleigh is still sleeping good, although, it's a little tricky getting her satisfied and down for the night.  She likes to eat ALOT at night and can't seem to get full enough to settle down for the night.  But after lots of eating (4 oz from a bottle and usually a little from mom an hour or so later) she'll finally bed down for the night around 9 or 10.  She's waking up at 2 and 5, almost like clockwork to eat, then goes back down until about 7:30 or so.  I've also started putting her in the Baby Bjorn (front carrier) so I can get a little more done during the day.  Today, she's helped me cook dinner, put  up clothes and put my make up on, all in her little back pack.

She's starting to get more control of her head but will loose control and flop it over once she's done holding it up!  She likes to try and stand up, but hasn't mastered that yet, and is getting stronger every day.

We've also noticed a tiny hemangomia on her back in between her shoulder blades.  We're watching it closely, as they grow EXTREMELY fast when the babies are younger and hoping not to have to start monthly trips to Dr. Sullivan, the dermotologist in Jackson for laser treatment.  On Monday, it looked like a little light pink scratch and by Wednesday, it was dark red and I knew what it was right away.  We've done that for the TINY spot on Alec's right cheek since he was this age and I'd rather not have to start that again!!  But since it's on her back and not her face, we'll just wait and see a little more for this one.  They are all supposed to go away by the time they are 4 or 5 no matter what type treatment is done, so we'll be a little less agressive with hers since it's on her back.  I've heard this may be genetic and so far we're 2 outta 2! ha!  (Lindsey, Does Berkley have any?  We might have to start carpooling to Dr. Sullivan if this lasts much longer!! ha!)
