At exactly one week old, Kaleigh got to go on her first fishing trip to Lake Bill Waller in Columbia. We didn't get there until about 6pm so it was cooling off just enough to be fun for all of us. We definately had Dustin's boat decked out in pink!! I'm sure all of the other boats were wondering what was up with all of the pink on the boat!! It was definately a struggle to try and keep myself covered up while nursing with the breeze from the water!!

Although this trip was fun for a while, it didn't end so wonderfully.... Dustin caught the biggest bass he'd ever seen (around 10lbs or so) and I accidentially knocked it off of the hook while trying to scoop it up in the net.... Sorry dad!! We'll try to be better fishing helpers next time!!
Kaleigh also got her first bath this week!! She LOVED relaxing in the warm water, but screamed when I got her out. Guess she wasn't quite done with her bath!

Sunday afternoon, Kaleigh went to her first birthday party at our next door neighbors. This is what she did the majority of the party! Alec was excited to get to take her with us!!
Alec started swim lessons this week too and is learning very fast!! He "swims" back and forth between Nana and the instructor, Mrs. Leah, and can get to the wall and hold on to the side! Monday and Tuesday he had lots of fun and was really learning alot, but he came down with a stomach bug on Wednesday and didn't enjoy his lesson.... We'll skip today and try again on Friday. The lessons were only for a week, so we may have to try them again this summer!

He "swam" like this between them for 10 or so times and didn't get water in his nose at all!! The teacher would give him a shove and tell him to kick!! He was so brave, several of the girls in the class were screaming during this part!

Dustin's also been in Indianapolis all week at a military conference, so it's not the most convenient time for Alec to be sick but we're making it! Nana and Mimi have been lots of help and are taking turns spending the night with us.
Kaleigh's 2 week check up was today, so Mimi and I took her and Alec to the doctor to get his belly checked out and for her check up. She's up to 8lbs 14 oz and is 21 1/2 inches long. She's in the 60th percentile for weight and the 90th percentile for height, so hopefully she's gonna be tall and skinny!! She's still sleeping and eating great and is such and easy baby!! Hopefully this trend continues!!
